Upcoming Events

On September 28th we will be hosting a Star Party in cooperation with the Chelmsford Historical Society, Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston, and the Chelmsford Open Space Stewardship.

Past Events

Previous events have included guided bird walks, creature features, public meetings, and work days.

This April, Zoo New England invited us out into the field to help out and learn more about their biodiversity surveying in Chelmsford. Jasper Levitt and Cara McElroy gave informal educational talks as they guided us through the woods. Attendees were able to visit local vernal pools and check minnow traps for salamanders, frogs, fairy shrimp, and any other little creatures that may have swam in! We also looked for egg masses throughout the pools. Vernal pools are an important and vulnerable ecosystem. Learn more about vernal pools and protecting them by clicking here
